Moretonhampstead Dartmoor

Moretonhampstead lies on the edge of Dartmoor and was voted Village of the Year in 2002.  It is a fairly small ancient market town and its central position makes it an excellent base to explore Dartmoor.

Moretonhampstead has a good selection of hotels, pubs and cafes.  The annual carnival is held on the last Thursday of August.

Dartmoor National Park
