Towns & Villages Bovey Tracey
Bovey Tracey is a small cob and Dartmoor-granite built town on the edge of the moor situated on the River Bovey. The slogan "Gateway to the Moor" is used on the town's boundary signs indicating its proximity to Dartmoor.
'Bovey' as it's know to locals, has a number of pubs, shops and accommodation and is considered one of the main Dartmoor towns. There is an annual carnival which draws hundreds lining the streets and a local produce market every other Saturday during the summer months.
